Less is more

“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
-Antoine de Saint-Exupe

I adore minimal looks, not just because they look great, they are super easy to wear and style! I love going on the hunt for minimalistic items, as you can invest in them. These two pieces (actually a dress not a skirt) can be worn over and over paired with different items and accessories. The dress is actually a lot larger than my actual size, but I've been lving the baggy oversized look lately especially for Autumn and layering. The t-shirt is a large from the men's section, I got it in large for the same reason! I have this tshirt in white aswell as they are so easy and versatile, I also love the boyfriend v - neck look! I opted for some contrasting shoes to add a bit of excitement into the outfit. These shoes are the cutest most unique item of clothing from my wardrobe, they were also a bargain as well! Casual Mom

'Fashion changes, but style endures.'
- Coco Chanel

Throwbacks from the 90's are my favourite, so is changing clothes to suit your style. These mom jeans are one of my staple pieces I am constantly wearing, from summer to winter. I definitely have been wanting some for so long, i should've bought them sooner! I bought mine from Beyond Retro, if you are thinking of buying some I strongly suggest Beyond Retro as they are all one of a kind, and are truly vintage.
My Fat Willy's top was a gift from a close friend of mine, straight from the cornwall shop! I love it so much, thanks Gem, particularly the unusual logo on the back.  It was bigger like a full lenght tshirt but, me being me, I managed to stain it. I wore it less after that, being a stain and all, but recently I had a fab idea to just chop it into a crop top! It goes so well with these jeans and other high waisted things, adding that unique spin on any plain Jane outfit.
The bag is from my local thrift store. I was searching for one of these for a while, high - street stores, the internet, but you know prices these days, partcularly for throwback pieces like this bag. I bagged it for just £7! What an amazing bargain! And it is suprisingly roomie.

Pop of colour

“I want everyone to wear what they want and mix it in their own way. That, to me, is what is modern.”

- Karl Lagerfeld

Colour is always difficult to style, but you shouldn't be afraid of it. Colour can be so exhilrating to wear, and there is definitely not enough people wearing it. Colour is the best way to express yourself, I've gone for a bold and very bright orange muscle tank. I am so obsessed with muscle tanks, they are perfect to tone down an outfit, they are also super comfy to move in.
I opted for a plain black skirt on the bottom half, and black slip ons. This azemetrical skirt has to be one of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe, its kind of subtley divergent and goes with pretty much everthing:)
Don't be afraid of colour! Items and social links below, tag me in your exlosive outfits!

Retro vibes

"There may be life yet, in this old thing..."
- Dawn O'porter

Retro/vintage clothing is something I'm completely bonkers about. I feel that it is important to switch between new and vintage clothing, or even mix them together to make the old the new. I feel that vintage clothing embody's so much more romance and meaning living through all those years than something brand new off the shelf. Partcularly second hand clothing, all those fabulous nights and memories it has lived through. Both the jumper and skirt are from 'Depop Market' a second hand clothing site, and both authenically vintage. I opted on  glorious match of modern accessories, the shoes from F21 and the satchel and glasses from Primark.

Autumn school day

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening."
 - Coco Chanel

Autumn felt like it finally arrived today! Autumn and winter definitely have to be my favourite times of the year and I am so pleased it has come around.
6th Form is never easy to dress for, but I though no way could I go wrong with a monochrome look. The trousers are one of my most recent purchases, Zara definitely know what they are doing when it comes to smart trousers! They are super comfy and go with pretty much anything; I know I will be wearing these non - stop until next summer.
The plain t-shirt, belt and leather sandals definitely bring this outfit together, and I believe simplicity is key in order to succeed in monochrome styling!
The poncho and bag complement each other so well. The structure of the bag and the freedom of the poncho may be opposites but they definitely attract :)

Bleach London: Awkward Peach Review...

So, initially I wanted to dye my hair a silvery grey colour as I was just totally bored with my natural colour.
I went straight in with the bleach, my hair was originally a dark blonde colour with natural blonde highlights, so I didn't have to bleach my hair too much to reach the 'pale yellow' stage.
I had slight trouble with the directions toners as neither the grey or white worked on my hair...
I then invested in Bleach London's 'White Toner' as a couple of youtubers had given good reviews on it and stated it was worthy of buying.
To be honest this did pretty much nothing to my hair! I was so ticked off as I spent at least £7 on the product. But you have to keep in mind ANY hair product works differently on different types if hair, so I'm not saying it won't work do you.
After trying and spending heaps of money on trying to get my hair silver, I changed my mind colour-wise.
I went to my local boots store and picked up an 'Awkward Peach' colour from the Bleach a London shelf. They have tonnes of amazing colours, they got me so excited!
I was hoping to go 'Parma Violet' but the had run out at my local boots store so I picked up the next best thing.
I am actually really pleased with the outcome! The dye was so easy to apply, and us not time consuming at all! They dye has turned my hair a range of peachy colours and they all blend in so well together, I reccomend this to anyone who is unsure of dying their hair too bright or an unnatural colour, as the outcome is a lovely, light pastel colour, perfect for summer!
Will definitely be testing other colours from their range!
The smell is also amaaaazing, not musky like other dyes. It literally smells like a rainbow on your head. Delicious.

I love a DIY...

Customising your old clothes is super way to breathe new life into them. I've had my matte black docs for about two years and have barely worn them! They are slightly too big, but I think the black isn't really very me!
I re-vamped them using an embossing set handed down to me about 3 years ago. I used to use it for card making, but now I don't really do that much anymore I thought why not put them to use on a different project!
I'm overly happy with my docs, and to be honest have changed my mind about selling them🙊. Here is a DIY video on my youtube channel on how you can create the same look! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sLeJZ3aGbMQ
I also drew some inspiration from 'The Fashion Citizen' who used stamps and spray paint to personalise their own, you can achieve this look without any embossing materials: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Fqawx5wVa0k
Happy DIY'ing :) xoxo
